To be an invaluable cultural resource, responsive to the community and its educational and cultural goals.
Library Vision
The Floyd Memorial Library was chartered in 1907. The building was built by a donation of
Grace Floyd in honor of her father, David Gelston Floyd. It serves as a community space for the village of Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island.
The library has a lot of unique space. The staff are very welcoming emphasizing customer service in serving this small community welcoming visitors to the library. I found the library to have a lot interesting and unique visitors. I just wish I could have photographed in the snow with the holiday decorations.
